My father-in-law had a cool idea for me to do. I am going to do a series of drawings that go with a theme from a verse in scripture. I think that these drawings could be made into thank-you cards and put on bulletin covers. I have an example pack of thank-you cards coming. When they come in i will post. I had a ball staying at the Brown's house this past vacation week. We were in Midland MI. This is where I grew up. We had every day completely full of things to do. It was the perfect vacation. I was able to deliver the Sunset Moth painting to the Marybeth Brown. It was hard parting with that piece. However she did give me another one to start on. This is going to be great! I thought that I would post a pic of the painting in the house. I had a few touch ups to take care of when I was there. It turned out great.

Hah i love the color burst that is taking place. The black contrast on top of the color seals the painting. It brings it all together. I love it because it is soooooo rewarding.
Finally....i am painting again. So much has gone on in my life recently! Have a baby is one one of those things that can really keep you on your toes. I am so thankful that baby Beckham is healthy and my wife Bethany had recovered well.
I have been commissioned to do a painting of a sunset moth. I already did a pilot smaller sized painting that turned out well. I have a post about. But, my family is planning a trip back to Midland, MI next week. I want to finish this painting by tomorrow night so i can take it to a hopefully, happy client.
I am using acrylic paint. I am using a reference photo. I have not done a lot of painting in this medium, but so far it is going well. I will keep the updates flowing.

So I wanted to do some photography for fun and include myself in the pictures...seeing how I am rarely in any photos. How could I be? I always insist on taking the pics. Oh well. I loved to edit the pics myself too. I did this photo through my acer tablet.
So. I was able to do a little finger sketch on my new tablet. I am very pleased with the app that I used. I believe that it is called sketch mobile. I had to use my finger to draw so my accuracy was low, however; I will be getting a styleist to help with that. We had a great week of singing in Bonita Springs, FL. I am now hoping that my family will get well soon, so that we can enjoy the rest of the weekend.
